Harper Lee, to kill a mockingbird.

At school as a kid we read quite a few books but one that stood out for me personally was Harper Lee‘s novel, To kill a mockingbird.

A very interesting story about two children growing up in the american deep south during the 1930′s when segregation and racism were rife.

The books protagonist Atticus Finch is a lawyer who puts his own neck and reputation on the line to do ‘the right thing’

For me i was a compelling novel from start to finish.

You can read more about it on wikipedia.

There was also a film made about the story which i watched at school, for me the film was just as good as the book.

Trailer, to kill a mocking bird.

It is definitely a book worth reading at least once and you may find yourself going back to your shelf for a second helping.

You can find the novel on Amazon.

Thanks for stopping by.
