The shawshank redemption is a fantastic film in my view and not surprisingly featured in many a persons film collection.

The film is based on the novella Rita Hayworth and the shawshank  redemption by Stephen King (one of the most successful authors of our time)

The shawshank redemption is a film written and directed by Frank Darabont and is starring lead actors Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman.

Without going into too much detail, the plot follows thus.

Successful banker Andy Dufresne is sent to shawshank prison for killing his wife and her lover, in prison he finds a friend in Ellis Redding (aka – Red).

The prison warden after discovering Dufresne’s uses decides to get him to clean up his shady deals in money laundering. those of you who have seen this film knows how it ends, those of you who don’t, well you need to watch it A.S.A.P.

You can find the DVD on Amazon.

The film received very little success in the box office in 1995, but over time it grew phenomenally and i am so glad it did.

I rate it as one of the best films in my ever growing collection.

Touching, inspiring, and profound are the words i would use and despite the fact that it is rather long it kept my attention all of the way through even though the last scene is a bit cheesy.

Any way i shan’t bore you any more but what i will do is give the the trailer.
